i haven't had to use a pc in a long time for work. that was nice--something i didn't realize until today.
the seemingly trivial becomes less so when a lot of postgrads are in a room together each with a computer.
the downside to us having dell pcs (readily relevant and noticeable without having been here for more than a few hours)
-the keyboards are incredibly loud. with everyone typing, it's a crazy forest of tapping
-the mouse movements on a desk are obnoxious
and a purely selfish reason for missing the mac today: editting/notetaking with pdfs is way more complex and having to switch back and forth with a word document is really annoying.
