had my gym appraisal meeting yesterday (tuesday, 4 september) which went really well. i think the trainer guy, john, was a bit surprised that i came in with an actual goal as a female and not just a generic comment about wanting to use the gym. as in i had a specific idea of what i wanted to get a plan set for and that i wanted to use weights. so we talked about a training plan and then he showed me a bunch of exercises to do. we decided that i would have an 'a' and 'b' day so that i could switch off, but unfortunately we didn't get through all of the exercises. so i will have to have someone show me a bunch of them.
i didn't figure i'd actually want to have regular scheduled training sessions with a person, but he was so competent that i'd maybe consider it. not as a weekly thing, but i don't think i get another free one for like 4 months, so maybe one or two before that. i don't know. we'll see how this plan goes. he has to re-write it from his scribbled notes so hopefully i'll be able to follow and remember what to do.
