another sign that perth is clearly a suburban-drive-your-car place is that within a week i had two comments about me wearing my backpack.
first while packing my groceries in my backpack - apparently it looked like i was going on a long journey...or something.
second, i was putting my notebook and book in my backpack to walk across campus for a meeting and got another odd comment.
clearly, the fact that i carry things around is weird. oh well.
